Big charity gala in Chemnitz: Dieter Birr fulfills your heart's desires!
A very special event is coming up in Chemnitz: The “Lukas Stern” association is inviting people to the third gala on September 13th, which aims to help seriously ill people and their families. This event will be enriched by the musical performance of Dieter Birr, better known as Maschinen. The association, which was launched in 2016, has been committed to fulfilling heartfelt wishes since its founding and even implemented 62 wishes in 2022. The spectrum of concerns ranges from family time outs to material things like laptops to emotional wishes like meeting celebrities and athletes.
“Lukas Stern” was inspired by the story of the boy Lukas, who suffered from leukemia, whose wishes served as the impetus for the founding. This shows how important the work of the association is, which, despite challenges such as the corona pandemic, continues to strive to fulfill numerous wishes. However, the decline in donations during this time has not slowed member engagement. The association currently has 18 members and sees itself as an important contact point for those affected from all over Germany, but focuses on central Germany due to limited resources. Chemnitz.de emphasizes that the association receives a high level of support, including being awarded the “Golden Hen” for its commitment.
Offers of help and appeal for donations
The association's commitment extends to a variety of supporting measures, ranging from financial help to the concrete implementation of wishes. Members invest their time and energy to ensure that needs such as vacation trips or the construction of playhouses for the children and families affected can be realized. However, the association is dependent on donations as it does not have permanent office space and all funds go directly to fulfilling wishes.
The organizers hope that the upcoming charity gala will provide massive support so that they can continue to fulfill their heart's desires in the years to come. Every euro that is collected could help fulfill another wish and thus make the life of a seriously ill person a little bit brighter. Further information about the gala and the association can be found on the website of the Association Lukas Stern and under the contact details Chemnitz.de.
For anyone who would like to make a contribution, the association provides all the information needed to make donations. At a time when solidarity and community are needed more than ever, I invite everyone to become part of this important initiative.
