Life savers wanted: 600 volunteers for the first aid network in Saxony!

In southwest Saxony, the network of volunteer first aiders is constantly growing. The rescue association has set itself the task of optimizing immediate aid in emergencies, especially in the event of cardiac arrest. Around 600 people have already registered so that they can intervene quickly in an emergency. This means they can be alerted if an emergency occurs in their area, which is becoming increasingly necessary in this region. Three to four missions are reported here every day that require immediate help.

The challenge of meeting the aid deadline in Saxony is enormous. With only 12 minutes to help, it is important that first aiders are deployed systematically. Brain cells can die after just 3 minutes, which is why every second counts. Simple first aid, such as chest compressions, can save lives. These operations are coordinated using a special app that alerts nearby alerted people to the emergency.

This is how the alert works

The app notifies the three nearest registered first responders. They then have the opportunity to confirm whether they can help and how quickly they can reach the site. A practical example shows that a couple has already helped on 12 missions, one of which was just 200 meters from their home. The feedback from the community is consistently positive; many first responders report quick responses and fulfilling experiences.

To become part of this important network, the requirements are low. Anyone who has a driving license and has already completed a first aid course can register. The aim of this is to motivate even more people to get involved. Moritz Gräßler, an active first responder, encourages fellow citizens and emphasizes that one should not be afraid of making mistakes. His message is clear: everyone can help!

Trustpilot As a result, delivery may take a little longer and there are occasional problems with order confirmations.

At a time when rapid response is important in both emergency response and commerce, it remains critical that companies and organizations communicate effectively with each other. Constructive feedback is the key to improvement, both for long-established support networks and emerging services.
