Tears, cheers and nostalgia: Lafee inspires Chemnitz live!

Nostalgia was booming on Saturday evening in Chemnitz's motor traffic View reported on LaFee's moving appearance. In front of over 800 enthusiastic fans, the German pop-rock singer presented the old hits and new songs from her album, which was released on October 24th, as part of her “Light & Shadow” tour.

LaFee, real name Christina Klein, who became a teen star between 2006 and 2009, caused watery eyes and a jubilant mood. Her followers came in droves not only for the nostalgic tracks like “Prinzesschen” and “Mitternacht”, but also to celebrate the artist’s comeback. The opening act, the lesser-known pop-punk band Kaff Panda from North Rhine-Westphalia, heated up the audience before LaFee took the stage around 9 p.m.

An unforgettable performance

LaFee began with her title track “Lafee,” which immediately brought back memories of earlier times. The new album addresses personal experiences such as loss and joy, matching the emotions that were palpable during their performance. Especially with their hit “Heul Doch” the atmosphere in the hall was exuberant and the fans sang along enthusiastically.

A highlight of the evening was the sensational encore when LaFee brought reality TV actress Leyla Heiter onto the stage. The two singers performed the song “Virus” together, which caused additional cheers. Leyla had previously shared a video of herself singing the song on social media, presumably luring some fans to the event.

A return to Chemnitz

It was LaFee's first performance in Chemnitz, but she let the crowd know it wouldn't be the last. The audience's enthusiasm and the positive response to her performance made it clear that LaFee, who was born in Stolberg in the Rhineland in 1990, is far from being a thing of the past. Since her musical breakthrough, she has released six studio albums and was in the charts for the first time in 2006 with her debut single “Virus”.

The 35-year-old, who also worked as an actress, has never completely left the spotlight. Their music often addresses deep topics such as bullying and mental illness. An example of this are the lyrics on their new album, which has already reached number 8 in the German charts.

LaFee's return and the great interest in her performance in Chemnitz show that the connection between artist and fans is stronger than ever. The anticipation of more shared experiences is already palpable.
