Dresden: Fire brigade saves horse out of danger in the ditch!
In a dramatic deployment, the Dresden fire brigade had to avert a failed fate of an Icelandic horse on May 24, 2025. During a ride, the horse fell into a fresh ditch, stood in the water to his neck and was completely unable to move. The concerned rider and her companion provided the animal while the fire brigade arrived. With a lot of effort and skill, the rescuers built a ramp out of the ditch and managed to pull out the horse safely. After the successful rescue, they immediately handed over the animal to an incoming veterinarian.
The fire brigade was also called for a traffic accident with a mini-hot rod. The 23-year-old driver was locked and injured in the vehicle. While the emergency services already provided first aid, the fire brigade prepared a technical rescue. By using hydraulic tools, the injured woman was finally freed and handed over to medical care. Another person who complained about knee pain was also examined. The police started the investigation into the course of the accident.Details | |
