Dynamo Dresden: New transfers are imminent – training begins!

Football fans in Dresden can wake up and look forward to an exciting 2025/26 season in the 2nd Bundesliga. The team began preparations on June 22nd, but so far there is only one new signing: Alexander Rossipal, who moved to Dynamo from Hansa Rostock. However, this new signing cannot alleviate the pressure that coach Thomas Stamm is feeling as he emphasizes that additional players are necessary to make the team competitive, as Bild reports.

The club is starting its new adventure with just one real newcomer. Stamm has confidence in the abilities of his team and the way they work in the background, where important decisions are already being made to further strengthen the squad. “The best options often come later in the transfer window,” says Stamm, referring to the positive experiences with Jonas Sterner, who is already moving to Hannover 96 for the new season. Thomas Brendel, the sports director, also believes that newcomers like Dynamo have a particularly difficult time with the transfer market, as financially stronger clubs can often make a better offer.

Planned reinforcements and squad situation

But the team also has a lot to offer, and Brendel is optimistic that further new additions can be made this week for the training camp in Austria. Christoph Daferner, who shone last season with his goal tally of 18 goals and 5 assists, remains firmly committed as top scorer. With Rossipal they are bringing in a solid player who has played 57 games in the 2nd and 3rd league.

Marlon Faß, who comes from TSG Hoffenheim's U19 team and attracted attention with 18 goals in 23 games, is also strengthening the team. Likewise, squad planning is in full swing, with various contracts ending on June 30th. Among the players who will not be re-signed are Tom Berger, Philip Heise and Phillip Böhm. Andi Hoti, currently on loan from Magdeburg, is close to a permanent signing, while Paul Lehmann is on loan to SC Verl.

The outlook for the season

Overall, the squad for the new season already has some promising players:

position player
goal Tim Schreiber, Daniel Mesenhöler
Defence Claudio Kammerknecht, Lukas Boeder, Lars Bünning, David Kubatta, Dennis Duah, Sascha Risch, Jan-Hendrik Marx, Alexander Rossipal
midfield Vinko Sapina, Niklas Hauptmann, Aljaz Casar, Tony Menzel, Jakob Zickler, Dominik Kother, Jonas Oehmichen
Storm Jakob Lemmer, Christoph Daferner, Robin Meißner, Dmytro Bogdanov, Stefan Kutschke

The anticipation for the season is palpable and those responsible are working to close the gaps and prepare the team optimally for the challenges. All eyes are on the coming days – are the final decisions coming that will strengthen the team? This will soon become apparent, according to LR Online and Transfermarkt report.
