Under the expert guidance of Dr. Claudius Wecke, the head of the gardens department at the State Palaces, Castles and Gardens of Saxony gGmbH, interested parties can learn everything about the urgent tree care work and the threat of tree branches breaking off, which lead to the closure of paths.
The approximately hour-long tour begins at 2 p.m. at the palace in the Great Garden, on the Schmuckplatz side. No registration is necessary and anyone with an interest in nature and the current challenges in the park can take part. The event aims to present solutions for the condition of trees and to educate participants about the health aspects of the trees in the Great Garden. Weekly Courier reports that this offer is more than just an information event; it is a way to raise awareness of the importance of trees in urban spaces.
