Eibau celebrates: thousands of beer train and classic car spectacle enjoy!

Eibau, Deutschland - Last Sunday, the beer train festival field in Eibau turned into a real festival for the senses. The Eibauer beer train, the largest summer spectacle in the south of the district, attracted thousands of visitors, despite high summer temperatures of up to 31 degrees. Like Sächsische.de Above all, straw hats to the hit hit and ensured a shady place in the hot weather.

Especially at the center of the event was the 15th edition of the "Oberlausitzer classic car hiking", which took place as part of the festival weekend. The organizers, especially David Priebs, were delighted with a record participation of 160 classic cars. This impressive number has been the highest number of participants since this popular event.

A look at the classic cars

The classic car hike was not only a feast for the eyes, but also a place of exchange. Participants had technical discussions about the vehicles and were able to admire them before the start. Oliver Zinke presented his Opel Kadett from 1991, who has a special story with his first owner. Wilfried Heidrich, on the other hand, drove a Ford A from 1927 and also brought older models of the Ford T.

The classic car hike led over a distance of around 160 kilometers, which was carefully planned. The participants were expecting mountain ratings and a complex route, the goal of lunch break remained a well -kept secret. At the GDR Museum in Pirna, the troop came together as a stage destination. The return to Eibau was another highlight for the classic car enthusiasts.

ancient vehicles and the enthusiasm of the audience

  • The classic cars were divided into different classes, from mopeds to trucks.
  • Special models came from the 20s to 40s.
  • A classic car promoted passengers over the entire route.

The event has developed into a new highlight in the event calendar over the years. As early as the 1st Oberlausitzer classic car hike in 2017, around 100 vehicles until 1986 were started, which shows how much the number and quality of the participants have increased over the years.

The event traditionally ends with a award ceremony in the large marquee, where the best vehicles are honored. The aim remains to attract numerous interesting vehicles and spectators, both for the participants and for the onlookers on site.

It is clear: the Eibauer beer train and the Oberlausitzer classic car hiking are highlights of the region and promise to become a festival for the senses again in 2025. The combination of historical vehicles and social get -together ensures that every edition of these events will be included in history.
