New cherry sliker from Görlitz: Verry Cherry enthusiastic at pleasure -resistant!
The annual wine and pleasure festival Coolinaria was recently celebrated on the Görlitzer Postplatz. A colorful variety of wines and culinary delights was waiting for the visitors: inside, organized by the popular Görlitz wine dealer Axel Krüger. Among the exhibitors was also the start-up "Verry Cherry", which proudly presented his newly developed cherry sliking. The liqueur, a product of the German-Polish company, quickly made a name for itself and causes a sensation in the region."Verry Cherry" has moved his headquarters to Görlitz and is entered in the Dresden commercial register on the number HRB 45944, such as DATABYTE reported. The company is headed by Mariusz Hetmańczyk, an entrepreneur from the vicinity of Katowice, who developed a recipe for the cherry slic in 2020. Hetmańczyk has a good knack for essential natural ingredients, without aroma substances - a fact that is highly valued by the festival visitors.
from Katowice to Görlitz
After the mono bar in Katowice, which initially had to close the cherry sliking, had to close due to the Corona pandemic, "Verry Cherry" has positioned itself. Today the company already supplies around 120 Polish restaurants and has also dared to jump to Germany. Negotiations on deliveries to Zittau, Bautzen and Görlitz run, with Hetmańczyk struggling - German bureaucracy has delayed the move of the corporate seat. "After six months we finally received the new tax number," he explains.
The company, which works in the retail trade as well as hotel and gastronomy and has currently not registered any brands or patents with the German brand and patent office, also plans to expand the range. In the future, cherry beer and wheat beer could also come onto the market in cooperation with a Czech brewery. In addition, Hetmańczyk does not rule out the reopening of mono bars.
A look into the future
With a managing director and without further known leaders, the company shows a lot of potential, but also challenges. The women's quota in management is currently 0 percent and thus significantly below the national average. In the coming months, however, everything could change if the successes in the German market so far.
The combination of craftsmanship and authentic taste makes “Verry Cherry” a promising new addition in the beverage scene. After all, it is exactly this spirit that is very popular in Görlitz and the surrounding area - and perhaps also be known beyond the city limits.
