City festival Zgorzelec: music, history and magic under the starry sky!

This weekend, the city of Zgorzelec will be in Poland in the sign of the happy city festival, which will be celebrated as part of the city's 80th anniversary. The festivities will take place on July 5th and 6th around the Kulturhaus (Dom Kulty) and in the municipal amphitheater. This event marks the traditional start of the summer vacation and promises a colorful mix of music, dances and historical representations.

The Saturday, July 5th, starts at 4 p.m. with appearances of local music bands and the talented dancers of the Inna Show Cheerleader Group. The singing group "Rozśpiewani" led by Ernestyna Adamowicz will also do its best. In the evening, visitors can look forward to a concert by the Belgian singer Danzel, who creates a mood with his hit "Pump IT Up". The crowning glory of the evening is a discotheque under the starry sky with DJ Slavek and Handsomebunny, which begins at 11 p.m.

Sunday: history and music

The Sunday, July 6th, opens at 1 p.m. with a historical re -enactment of important events from the history of Zgorzelca. In particular, the events of 1945 and the signing of the Görlitz agreement are brought into focus. At 4 p.m. the local jazz and pop music groups such as freaks the band and The Twisters continue the celebrations in the amphitheater.

The end of the festival is an appearance by the Polish singer Margaret, who has already made a name for herself in the music scene. In addition to the musical highlights, a flower festival will also take place in the Kulturhaus that presents floristic compositions and offers other attractive exhibitions.

Among other things, there is the opportunity to take part in an anniversary exhibition and even shape a commemorative coin. Due to the high number of visitors, which was over 100,000 in recent years, it is recommended to use public transport in order to avoid possible parking problems.
