considered security
The organizers made sure with regard to security and did not expect any opponents, such as the lvz.de informed. Nevertheless, it is advisable for all participants to travel to groups. In addition, topics such as discrimination and security are of great importance on festive occasions. In recent years there has been a worrying increase in queer -anti -crimes in Germany.
According to the Federal Association of Criminal Office (BKA), a total of 1,785 cases of hate crime against LSBTIQ*people were registered in 2023, which represents an enormous increase compared to previous years. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser has therefore called for the consistent persecution of this violence. The Tagesschau indicates the meaning of not only legally punishing, but also to raise awareness in society.
The CSD initiatives are actively committed to ensuring that not only in society, but also in the law enforcement authorities, there is a sensitization to queer topics. It is important that these topics are taken seriously and treated sustainably in order to enable a future -free future. Since 2021 there has also been contact persons at the Leipzig public prosecutor's office: inside for queer concerns, which is a first step in the right direction, as the csd-leipzig.de Last but not least, the CSD Leipzig is still looking for volunteers who want to help as a folder in the demonstration. For the helpers there is a small thank you in the form of a place on the guest list for the prideball. A great opportunity to actively be part of this important event!
