A lot is happening in Germany's musical landscape in October, especially in Leipzig. Local and international artists are ready to rock the city's stages. Anyone interested in a musical excursion in autumn will find a colorful program that ranges from indie pop to folk.
In addition to the famous names, it is above all the special events that shape the concert events. A highlight is the encounter with the indie pop band The highest railway. The band, which has been active since 2011 and comes from Berlin, will bring their latest album “When we see each other again, we'll scream at each other again” to the Täubchenthal stage on October 2nd, 2025. The members Francesco Wilking, Moritz Krämer, Felix Weigt and Max Schröder have made a name for themselves, not least through their distinctive style, which ranges from pop-rock to singer-songwriter. Their music brings back memories and makes you want more, this is especially true for the new single “Office Days” and other fresh hits.
Diverse sounds and unforgettable nights
But it's not just The Höchst Railway that invites you. On September 23, 2025 the talented Anna Ternheim perform at the Parkbühne Geyserhaus and take hearts by storm with their melancholic voice. The singer-songwriter from Stockholm has managed to make a name for herself in the music scene by combining genres such as jazz, folk and blues. She describes her music as “nighttime music” that creates gentle and intense moments.
It remains exciting! On September 27th and 28th the Icelandic folk musician Svavar Knútur the sounds of the Westfjord to Leipzig. He is considered a public health troubadour and will captivate his audience with stories and melodies.
Unconventional talents
This is another highlight Low Key Orchestra, which will appear on October 7, 2025 at Objekt 5 in Halle (Saale). With the pre-announced single “Maybe Words” and the first album due in March 2026, something big is definitely coming our way.
The creative palette is not limited to German genres. The Greek singer Σtella will shake up the Moritzbastei in Leipzig on October 8th with their fourth album “Adagio”. Their mix of New Wave and Greek folklore promises a very special experience.
