RB Leipzig: Young goalkeepers leave the club – change now fixed!

Anyone who is interested in the latest developments surrounding RB Leipzig currently has reason to be excited. The club has completed several transfers. RB Leipzig is parting ways with young goalkeepers Timo Schlieck and Fernando Dickes, both of whom are taking on new challenges. Timo Schlieck is moving to SpVgg Greuther Fürth on loan with an option to buy, while Fernando Dickes signs a permanent contract with Hamburger SV. Last season, Schlieck attracted attention in 21 competitive games for the RSC Anderlecht second team, while Dickes played for Leipzig in the U19 Bundesliga and the UEFA Youth League.

But that's not all that excites fans. The coaching question remains exciting: Ole Werner will be the new coach of RB Leipzig after the club agreed on a change with Werder Bremen. Werner brings a breath of fresh air into the team and the supporters are excited to see how the team will develop under his leadership. Matthias Jaissle is also considered a possible coaching candidate, while negotiations regarding Ole Werner's transfer fee continue.

Benjamin Šeško and the Bundesliga

Benjamin Šeško is also in focus in the current transfer period. The centre-forward, who has been under contract with RB Leipzig since July 1, 2023, could soon leave the club, with Arsenal London mentioned as a possible new club. According to his agent, however, a move to a “special club” will only be considered. With a required transfer fee of around 80 million euros, the club is hoping for good business, be it for the player or the club itself.

Joseph sees the situation calmly: “We assume that we will achieve the best for our players and the club.” RB Leipzig has 1,050 members and looks back on a turbulent time in which the club had to announce record debts despite record sales.

More than just transfers

However, the activities are not limited to the squad. RB Leipzig invites you to the national final of the Red Bull Four 2 Score in the Panometer Leipzig, where 24 teams will fight for the title in street football. Admission is free and a supporting program with DJs and gaming stations promises a highlight for the entire family.

There is also some positive news from the youth department: Unfortunately, the U17 missed out on the German championship title after a defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Nevertheless, the nomination of Giovanna Hoffmann for a major tournament for the DFB women's national team shows that RB Leipzig is also on the right track in the youth sector.

The future remains exciting in Leipzig. The coaching question, possibly new transfers and the focus on developing young talents seem promising. The summer break will be anything but boring!
