Family weekend in Dresden: Find hope and grow together!
Tal Naundorf 29, 01257 Dresden, Deutschland - The family weekend of the Catholic parish of blissful martyrs from Munich Square is just around the corner and promises an enriching experience for young and old. From September 12th to 14th, 2025, families in the Winfriedhaus Schmiedeberg meet to learn, celebrate and share hope together. Under the motto "Give everything - just not up", valuable topics such as cohesion within the families, personal hope stories and the search for the "common thread" in life are dealt with. Dresden-Meißen reports that the event has a variety of activities to strengthen this.
The weekend starts on Friday evening with a relaxed arrival round, followed by a dinner together. Saturday is filled with workshops and creative offers that help the participants discover new perspectives. Impulses and prayer times offer the opportunity for reflection and exchange. At the end there is a family -friendly service on Sunday, which forms the framework for a common reflection and lunch.
community and joy
The organizers, Elisa Vogginger, theologian and communication trainer, and Pastor Winfried Kuhnigk, have developed a varied program that is exciting for both adults and children. The costs are 80 euros for adults and 35 euros for children up to 18 years. Particular attention is paid to reducing financial hurdles to ensure that every family can participate. Individual solutions are possible so that nobody has to stay at home.

In today's world, in which family structures are often challenged, it is important to support such initiatives. The example of the upcoming weekend shows how valuable the exchange can be within the families and with others. Selige martyr Dresden emphasizes that the weekend is not only an opportunity for leisure and gathering, but also a space to celebrate your own faith.
family as the cornerstone of society
Families are the heart of our communities. This also becomes clear in the hiking exhibition "Family Gang", which can currently be seen in Nuremberg and runs until January 25, 2025. The exhibition shows various family forms and addresses what family is and how the classic family image has developed. Family blog Nuremberg indicates that the "red thread" also plays a central role here by illuminating the emotional bonds within the families.
The exchange and strengthening of the family gang are core elements of both the upcoming weekend and the current exhibition in Nuremberg. In a time of change and the challenges in society, such offers and reflections are more important than ever. They encourage us to promote the feeling of togetherness and the belief in a positive change in the community.
