In the Saxon city of Riesa, there is a breath of fresh air at the Saxony Cooperative State University (DHSN). How Sächsische.de Reportedly, a new Academic Council was elected at the end of June and will now direct the university's fortunes. Particularly exciting: For the first time, separate study directors have been appointed for all four courses on offer.
Katrin Heinzl is taking over the business administration service management course from Katja Soyez, who is now in charge of the entire study academy. There are also some changes in the field of engineering: Alexander Buchheim will be the new head of studies for energy and building technology, while Christian Fricke will replace Lutz Brille in the laboratory and process engineering course before he retires in 2024. Jens Franeck remains in his position as head of studies in mechanical engineering. The new director emphasizes that the team represents a balanced mix of experienced and new members.
Goals and visions of the DHSN
A central concern of the university is to strengthen the dialogue with business and society. Katja Soyez has already considered some measures to achieve this. This includes the introduction of new networking formats for alumni as well as committed participation in professional associations. The continuation of public events, such as lecture series in the library, is also planned.
