An exciting start to school in Königshain-Wiederau! On August 10, 2025, 21 new first graders were warmly welcomed at the local elementary school. The surprise came in the form of a huge chipper from Agraset, which performed a musical honking concert in front of the school. Richard Krause, who drove the large vehicle, amazed the children and their parents.

Agraset's initiative, which was carried out in cooperation with the primary school, aims to offer those starting school an unforgettable start to their school career. The cheerful atmosphere and joy that the big chipper brought to the community was underlined by the presence of numerous parents and guests. Music brings people together in the region

While we're talking about celebrating, the next musical highlight is just around the corner! Sing&Meet is entering its third round and is once again captivating many singers. On ten evenings at four locations in the region, modern songs from Christian and secular areas will be practiced - the motto: “That’s right!” The talented music school director Geertje-Marie Groth takes over the management and rehearses a varied concert program with the participants.

These social gatherings are not only a platform for music, but also for new friendships. The project began in 2023 with 20 singers, and last year there were already two concerts with 45 participants. The next events will take place in the courtyard of the adult education center in Kohren-Sahlis and at the traditional village festival in Königshain. Music for the future

Another important player in the region is the organization Music for Life e.V., which is committed to supporting children and young people through music. Its goal is to provide support to those whose lives are characterized by poverty and violence. Through various music projects, creativity is encouraged and talents are discovered - this is music with a future!

Those interested up to the age of 21 can even receive individual funding of up to 500 euros to further develop their musical talents. Applications are possible until September 15, 2024.
