MDR Jump brings festive stars to the Christmas market tour in Waldheim!
Waldheim, the charming town in central Saxony, awaits a highlight in the run-up to Christmas. The MDR Jump Christmas market tour will take place on Sunday, December 7th and promises a festival of music and joy. City Manager Nino Richter and Mayor Steffen Ernst from the FDP brought this great event to Waldheim. “This is a wonderful opportunity to combine the anticipation of the holidays with music and conviviality,” explains the mayor.
The moderators Sarah von Neuburg and Lars-Christian Karde will lead through the program and delight visitors with current hits from the music industry. Although the names of the performing artists are not yet known, the anticipation is already huge. “We are expecting exciting acts to be heard on MDR Jump, it will be a fantastic evening,” says Nino Richter.
Christmas market meets music
The historic Waldheim Christmas market will provide the appropriate setting for this event. Visitors can look forward to a festive atmosphere and many culinary delicacies - an ideal backdrop for musical enjoyment! By the way, this is not the first time that MDR Jump has been a guest in Waldheim. As early as July 2023, the band Glasperlenspiel thrilled hundreds of celebrating guests on the occasion of the city's 825th anniversary.
“We want people to come together, laugh and experience community,” Ernst continued. And that will certainly succeed, because the Christmas market is already a tradition and attracts numerous visitors every year.
With the combination of a festive market and live music, December 7th seems to be a date that should be marked red on the calendar. Be there when Waldheim is once again transformed into winter holiday magic! The signs are good for an unforgettable first Sunday of Advent!
