New first deputy in Central Saxony: Trumpp takes responsibility!

In the district of Central Saxony, a lot is happening! On July 1, 2025, Dr. Christoph Trumpp was the first deputy after he was elected by the district council on May 28th. This marks a renovation at the administrative level, since the structure of the district office has been redesigned and now includes three business areas. Trumpp also takes on his job as a treasurer and heads the new business group "Administration and Finance", which includes combing, real estate management, school administration and the immigration office. The previous first deputy, Dr. Lothar Beier, meanwhile retired, and it is a lot of tension in the air, how the new constellation will develop and what the changes for the citizens bring.

dr. Trumpp, who has been working in the district office since 2021 and previously headed the "Finance and Controlling" department, has set itself ambitious goals. One of his main tasks will be the development of an overall strategy for the district to set clear priorities in investments. And who couldn't need that? At a time when clever decisions are important, the new deputy is highly motivated.

But that's not all! The second deputy, Jörg Höllmüller, keeps responsibility for the “order, health and social affairs” business. This area remains almost unchanged, but the “Education” presentation now changes to Trumpp. Exciting perspectives are emerging!

The renamed business area "Building, Transport and Environment", which Pia Weißenberg will lead to temporarily leads, brings a breath of fresh air to the administration. She was previously responsible for the "Integrated Rural Development and Geoinformation" department. In her new department, she will not only look after the construction projects, but will also take care of business development and broadband expansion. Beautiful views for middle Saxony!

The new structure was already decided in March by the district council based on recommendations from the Saxon Court of Auditors. After an intensive debate, the majority of the members of the district council spoke out for what shows that in Central Saxony you pull together. Currently working on the adaptation and finalization of various processes in the administration is being worked on, and it remains exciting how the new structure will arrive in practice.
