Senior woman knocked over by unknown person – police are looking for witnesses!

On July 4, 2025, an incident in Döbeln caused a stir. On a Thursday afternoon, an 88-year-old woman was knocked over by an unknown woman in the Zwingerstraße/Straße des Friedens area. Witnesses report that after the incident, the perpetrator directed insulting words at the senior citizen before running away. The injured woman was immediately helped by several passers-by from a car parked nearby and was later taken to hospital, where she was treated for serious injuries. At another location, namely on the B169 near Greifendorf, a traffic accident occurred on Thursday morning, June 26, 2025, in which two people were injured. A Subaru driver wanted to turn left towards a property entrance when a Mercedes behind was unable to brake in time and hit the vehicle. Both people involved were taken to hospital for further examination. The Greifendorf fire department not only secured the scene of the accident, but the towing service also had to come in to rescue the vehicles and pick up leaked operating resources.
