Carnival start in Torgau: dates and events at a glance!
On November 11th the time has finally come: the carnival season will be ceremoniously opened in several cities, including Torgau and Belgern-Schildau. The Torgauer Carneval Club (TCC) attracts attention with its colorful hustle and bustle and storms the town hall at 11:11 a.m. There will be a happy march from Kleine Feldstrasse over Bäckerstrasse to the market square, where the foolish activities will reach their climax. A festive highlight is the big carnival party on January 24th in Sanssouci, which starts at 8 p.m. and attracts all the crazy people with free entry. The motto “TCC so colorful – in neon lights anyway” already promises a lot of fun and a good mood.
The Schildau carnival club has also thought of a special start for November 11th. The celebration will take place at 11:11 a.m. on the Belgeran market square, although there will be no evening event this year. Instead, guests can look forward to events in February at the Schildauer Volkshaus, which have the motto “The FCS makes a lot of noise at the Schild’schen campsite”. A rustic atmosphere is guaranteed!
Other events in the region
In the Beilroder carnival club, mayor René Vetter will also take over the keys on November 11th at 11:11 a.m. The first carnival evening will take place on November 15th from 8 p.m. in the Ostelbienhalle. The Neußener Carneval Club (NCC) also didn't miss out and organized a festive key handover on the same day on the market square in Belgern. The carnival evenings in January and February have the motto "The clocks are ticking, we are ready. The NCC travels through time".
Also on November 11th. The crazy hustle and bustle with music, confetti and a small barbecue takes place in the Elsniger Citizens' Office. The celebration will also provide physical pleasures, with bratwurst and drinks, which will certainly contribute to a cheerful atmosphere. In Loßwig, the Carneval Club welcomes you with a special motto: “From the Stone Age to outer space, Loßwig celebrates everywhere.” Although there will be a celebration of the key handover in the town hall, numerous other activities are also planned.
- Beilroder Karnevalsclub: Erstes Faschingsabend am 15. November, 20 Uhr in der Ostelbienhalle.
- Neußener Carneval Club: Faschingsabende im Januar/Februar: 31. Januar (19.29 Uhr), 1. Februar (Kinderfasching, 15 Uhr).
- Elsniger Faschingsclub: Feier um 16 Uhr am Elsniger Bürgeramt, mit Musik und Speisen.
- Loßwiger Carnevalsclub: Motto: „Von der Steinzeit bis ins All“.
The next few months promise a crazy spectacle, and it will be exciting to see how the various clubs keep the carnival tradition alive.
