FSV Oschatz: After relegation comes the upheaval – who stays and who goes?
The football scene in northern Saxony is on the move while the summer break is still in full swing. The clubs FSV Oschatz and FSV Beilrode are particularly in focus as they prepare for the coming season. FSV Oschatz, recently relegated from the North Saxony League, has big plans and is aiming for direct promotion back to the district league. According to [lvz.de]. 22.42 years.
FSV Oschatz sees some departures. Goalkeeper Florian Däbritz is moving to Tapfer Leipzig in the Saxony League, while striker Peter Gärtner is ending his career. Players Johannes Runge, Tobias Pöhlmann, Hadi Rached and Florian Naumann are also leaving the club, and Kacper Kordyka is returning to Poland. New to the squad are Kurt Schumann (19), Julian Barth (20), Julian Leisker (19), Alexander Ludewig (19), Arne Busch (18) and Oskar Hunger (18).
FSV Beilrode starts with a new coach
In contrast, FSV Beilrode has brought a breath of fresh air into the team with its new head coach Falko Simmank. Holger Pannke resigned from his position after just six months and Andreas Wenzel took over on an interim basis. Beilrode came in second place behind SG Zschortau last season.
The start of training at FSV Beilrode is scheduled for July 15th and the squad now consists of around 20 players. Midfielder Domenic Blüher has left the club and is moving to SV Tapfer 06 Leipzig. Four A-youth players will strengthen the men's team, with two joining immediately and two later. Beilrode also has a bye in the first round of the TZ Bear Cup, while the league dress rehearsal takes place on August 8th against SV Eintracht Elster. The meetings against SG Olympia 1896 Leipzig II (July 26th) and SV Blau-Rot Pratau (August 2nd) are planned for test matches.
A look at the league
All of these adjustments come at a time when the current season is coming to an end and some decisions have already been made. fv-nordsachsen.de reports that SC Hartenfels Torgau won the North Saxony championship title with a 2-0 win over LSG Löbnitz and is returning to the Saxony class. Thanks to Torgau's promotion, LSG Löbnitz receives the right to start in the Wernesgrüner Saxony Cup 2025/2026.
The promotions and relegations are particularly bitter for FSV Oschatz, because with the relegation FSV Krostitz, FSV Krostitz II, SV Mügeln-Ablaß and FV Bad Düben also have to compete in a league lower. The North Saxony League will start with 14 teams next season. The district league is also seeing turbulence, with a title fight still open in the East season. Here, a catch-up game between Dommitzscher and bottom team SpG Süptitz/Schildau II/Kobershain could decide who wins the title there.
Finally, it remains to be said that the clubs in Northern Saxony are facing exciting challenges. The new season will show whether the changes in the squad and the change of coach have a positive effect.
