The extensive construction work, which has been carried out during ongoing operations since the beginning of 2024, is now officially completed. The ceremonial handover is scheduled for next Tuesday. Over 1.4 million euros went into the renovation, which included heating and sanitary systems, electrical systems and a ramp to the utility cellar. This not only gives the daycare a new look, but also significantly improves the conditions for caring for around 140 children between the ages of 3 and 6. This investment is a further step to strengthen early childhood education in the region, as bpb.de notes.

This need ultimately led to the founding of around 500 to 600 daycare centers around 1850. Attending such facilities is still viewed today as an important basis for one's later school career.
