Summer holidays 2025: Adventures for families in Saxony’s castles!

The 2025 summer holidays in Saxony promise an exciting adventure for the whole family! The popular “Holiday Fun for Royal Children” program takes place between June 27th and July 12th. Numerous activities in impressive palaces, fortresses and gardens await the little explorers and their companions. The focus is on creative offers and exciting themed tours that enable an unforgettable experience together with the children. On these days, the little guests can expect hands-on activities that stimulate their imagination. Here visitors learn a lot about armor and life in the Middle Ages, which was taught in the knight school.

Another exciting event is the holiday campaign “FAIRYTALES. Stories from the fairytale castle” in Hartenfels Castle Torgau. Here, children can take part in a special exhibition on June 30th, July 9th and 31st and August 14th and solve special tasks at various stations. Astronomy enthusiasm is also guaranteed: on July 3rd and 4th, the planetarium at the Schkeuditz Observatory will focus on the planets of our solar system, where the kids can also get creative.

Another great offer will take place on July 3rd at the Geithain Local History Museum: Here, children can build a volcano under supervision and experience its eruption. In addition, the Dübener Heide Nature Park invites you to a discovery tour in the heath forest on July 6th. Anyone who missed the summer holidays can already look forward to the upcoming autumn holidays in Saxony.
