Club campaign We’re tackling it!”: 16,500 euros for North Saxony’s heroes!

A complete success for the club landscape in Northern Saxony: The campaign “We’re tackling it!” This year has impressively shown how committed and active the community is. Loud lvz.de The online voting, which ran from October 1st to October 13th at 3 p.m., was a real hit with a total of 8,468 votes cast.

Sparkasse Leipzig provided a total of 16,500 euros, which will be distributed across various projects. The Taucha Athletics Club crowned its efforts with first place and 5,000 euros, followed by the Evangelische Oberschule Belgern-Schildau, which received 4,000 euros with its concept of a “classroom in the countryside”. The other places are followed by the Hohenossig citizens' association, the TV Blau-Gelb 90 Bad Düben, the outpatient hospice service St. Josef Torgau and the Oschatz-Süd allotment garden association "Erich Billert". Benefit to the community

The funding is invested in various projects that promote sporting and social cooperation in the region. With its initiative “Athletics for everyone – your first sprint into club life”, the Taucha Athletics Club wants to strengthen young people’s enjoyment of movement and community. In the Evangelical High School in Belgern-Schildau, a “classroom in the countryside” is being built under the reconstructed rocket of the former Juri Gagarin School, while the Hohenossig Citizens' Association is planning a bicycle service station on the new cycle path to Zschölkau.

TV Blau-Gelb 90 Bad Düben is committed to inclusion and wants to create a “somersault” movement world for children with disabilities. Furthermore, the St. Josef Torgau outpatient hospice service offers creative bereavement support for children, while the Oschatz-Süd “Erich Billert” allotment garden association wants to restore a historic arbor from 1935 in order to enable exhibitions on topics such as “Birds in the Garden” and “Insect Diversity”.
