A lot is happening again in the North Saxony region, and calendar week 33 has some exciting events in store. On August 11, 2025, not only cultural activities will start, but also initiatives that promote social interaction. This is a real reason for joy for everyone who lives in the area!
In Bad Düben, the popular theater project LandSchafftTheater is entering the next round: from August 12th the curtain will rise on the fifth production “The Great Change”. Five performances are planned until August 30th, with around 2,000 spectators expected. The ensemble consists of 50 amateur and professional actors who will take to the stage with great enthusiasm. Mental health self-help
Another important topic that will be highlighted in Delitzsch this week is the establishment of a self-help group for relatives of people with mental illnesses. This will take place on August 14th at 5:30 p.m. in the “Arche” multi-generational house. Those interested do not have to register – the motto is walk in! The “Mental Health” self-help group in Delitzsch is also looking for new members and offers regular meetings on the first and last Wednesday of the month. These groups are a valuable contact point for those affected and their relatives and support them in difficult times.landkreis-nordsachsen.de provides comprehensive information on this.
As the North Saxony Health Department reports, psychological impairments are widespread in the region. It ranges from mild limitations to manifest disorders. Therefore, exchange in such groups is very important. Culture and commitment in Taucha
But that's not all! An impressive poster exhibition will be presented in Taucha from August 14th to 28th: “Women for Women” shows 20 posters about the lives of women in the 1970s and 80s. The opening will take place on August 14th at 6 p.m. at Leipziger Straße 44. In Schkeuditz, however, there is a short interruption - the registry office will be closed from August 18th to 29th, but don't worry: submitting documents is still possible. Services will be available again from September 1st.
The variety of offers and the commitment in the region show once again that the northern region is lively and active. Whether cultural, social or health-related – everyone could find something here and get involved or just enjoy it!
The project “Que(e)r durch Sachsen” by the RosaLinde Leipzig e.V. association can also be mentioned, which offers psychosocial advice for the queer community and their relatives close to where they live.
