On Friday evening, the play “Improfieber” with David Leubner will be performed on the lake stage in Hayna in Biedermeierstrand – a real theater highlight for culture enthusiasts. In Torgau, visitors can enjoy the open-air concert by the legendary Warren Haynes Band. A perfect start to a cultural weekend!

On Saturday it will be in Hayna with “Mr. Rod”, the No. 1 Rod Stewart Show, while Eilenburgers have the opportunity to take part in an informative tour. But Sunday in and around Torgau will be the real highlight!
In Torgau, Hartenfels Castle attracts guests with guided tours and the impressive story it has to tell. The International Saxon Singer Academy provides musical accents with a concert in the church in Lausa. Accompanied by Prof. Reintzsch, an unforgettable program is offered that is based on German songs and the city's rich tradition. The academy not only brings together young singing enthusiasts, but is also a showcase for the region's musical diversity, which is reflected in the daily lunchtime concerts starting July 12th in the courtyard of Hartenfels Castle. Tradition and innovation combined
The International Saxon Singer Academy has its roots firmly in the Torgau musical tradition, which goes back to Martin Luther and Johann Walter. Particularly noteworthy is the first German opera “Dafne”, which was premiered in 1627 by Heinrich Schütz at Hartenfels Castle. This shows how deeply the musical roots are anchored here and at the same time provides a link to today's events. It all started with the patronage of the Saxon Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer, and Prof. Elvira Dreßen leads the fate of the academy as chairwoman. There is also a spa concert in Bad Düben and a choir concert in Delitzsch, which offer further cultural opportunities to make the weekend musical and social. Whether at the events outdoors or in the premises of the cultural venues, everyone gets their money's worth here.
