Saxony stops Corona aid payments-entrepreneurs cheer!
The repayments of the Corona economic aids, which were available for numerous companies during pandemic, are currently the focus of many Saxon entrepreneurs. As MDR reports, the Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs scheduled for a preliminary suspension of these retrospective claims. This happened after intensive protests from the economy that had triggered great uncertainty regarding the repayment.
The controls of auxiliary payments are still continued because the Free State is obliged to do so. However, interested entrepreneurs can hope for better handling. So it is possible that you will be released in individual cases. Your annual net income must be less than 35,000 euros and your assets must not exceed 40,000 euros, although real estate assets are generally not counted.
clarity and predictability for companies
In a current message on July 10, 2023, the Saxon Minister of Economics Dirk Panter presented further steps in the federal program "Soforthilfe-subsidy BUND". The aim is to create clear framework conditions for the Saxon entrepreneurs who are to be supported by unbureaucratic and flexible regulations in the repayment periods, such as on the website of the Smwa.
The repayment period is initially six months in which no interest is incurred. After this time, entrepreneurs can choose between several deadlines: 12 months with a fixed interest rate of 0.5 %, 24 months at 1 %or 36 months with 1.5 %. This flexibility should enable companies to plan better and to control their financial means.
But not only the repayment periods were an issue. Many entrepreneurs are concerned about the claims that have already been completed in 49,257 cases, while 27,586 reclaims are currently being processed. In addition, another 29,000 reclaims are expected. The Saxon Building Bank (SAB) has also published a question-answer catalog to provide affected companies more clarity.
support for cases
For entrepreneurs who do not exceed income or assets, there is the possibility of being freed from the recovery. For example, an amount of 23,000 euros net applies to applicants or pensioners that are no longer independent. The child benefit can also increase the limits for those affected, which is particularly important for families.
A total of around 209,000 applications for Corona economic aid were made in Saxony, whereby the federal government made around 2.9 billion euros available and the Free State contributed an additional 752 million euros. This support has helped many companies in difficult times and continues to shape the economic situation in the country.entrepreneurs who want to learn more about the repayment modalities have the opportunity to find out more about a special hotline of the SAB. In these uncertain times it remains important to keep an eye on the financial options and state offers.
