A step to strengthen regional projects
The Radeberg homeland campaign “Together for the Homeland” has established itself as valuable support for local projects since 2021. In recent years, 15 projects in Saxon Switzerland have been funded with a total of 477,000 euros. In 2025, the five new winning projects will be ready to put their visions into action with grants of 10,000 euros each. This initiative is carried out in partnership with the “Association of Friends of the Saxon Switzerland National Park e.V.” radeberger-gruppe.de.
District Administrator Michael Geisler and Thomas Kunack, chairman of the Association of Friends of the National Park, emphasized the importance of these projects in their speeches. They pointed out that the Heimat campaign not only provides financial resources, but also strengthens the sense of community in the region and motivates citizens to get involved in their environment.
Regional and sustainable
Supporting infrastructure and cultural promotion projects is part of a broader strategy to strengthen regional identities. The focus on voluntary initiatives shows how important the commitment of citizens is for the positive development of Saxon Switzerland. With the new round of the homeland campaign, the number of funded projects will increase to a total of 20, which will contribute to the sustainable growth of the region. It will be exciting to see how these developments will shape up in the future.
The Radeberger Heimat-Aktion is a great example of how local breweries and committed citizens can work hand in hand to promote vibrant communities and preserve cultural diversity.
