Heidenau is booming: Kaufland is attracting customers from the region and the Czech Republic!
Heidenau is becoming more and more a popular shopping location. Two months ago, a new Kaufland branch was opened in the former Real store, which is delighting both old and new customers. The new branch is particularly suitable for fresh products from the region: dairy products, fruit and vegetables are very popular, supplemented by service counters for sausages, cheese and antipasti. The customer's heart also has a special place for the bakery, where baked goods are prepared fresh several times a day. In total, Kaufland offers over 30,000 items, many of them from a radius of 30 kilometers, which underlines the regional nature of the range. Kaufland emphasizes that the new shopping locations not only offer experience, but also a modern appearance.
Numerous other shops have also moved in. For example, you can discover toys for the little ones at Smyth Toys, the branch that opened after the summer holidays. The pharmacies are also not far away and one will be available later this year. Nevertheless, there are also wishes from customers that could be fulfilled by the new offers.
Solar park provides a breath of fresh air
In the same region, a private investor has brought plans for a solar park on 2.7 hectares at the Bonnewitz gravel pit. This initiative, which aims to significantly increase the share of renewable energy, could be particularly interesting for the Ostsächsische Sparkasse, which plans to cover 50% of its electricity needs from the new solar park. The Pirna city council has already decided to draw up a development plan for the solar park, the costs of which will be borne by the investor.
This way of using solar energy is a trending topic. Malls around the world are increasingly turning to such systems to reduce their electricity consumption and reduce their carbon footprint. In Spain, for example, shopping centers such as GranCasa and Luz del Tajo use photovoltaic systems that already cover up to 40% of their energy needs with renewable energies. Such initiatives reflect society's increasing environmental awareness and new legal requirements for energy efficiency. Renovable Verdes emphasizes that technological progress further increases the efficiency of these systems and promotes a sustainable future.
The forest pool needs renovation
The forest pool in Cunnersdorf represents another, albeit challenging, aspect. It is in dire need of renovation and is currently closed, mainly due to the lack of lifeguards. However, this needy pool is an important destination for swimming lessons and recreation. The municipality is therefore hoping for funding for a comprehensive renovation in order to reopen the forest pool by 2026. Without these measures there is a risk of a permanent loss of cultural heritage for the community. The estimated renovation costs are currently uncertain, but public funds are urgently needed for preservation.
In addition, the municipality of Bannewitz is carrying out renovation work in a school building, the total costs of which amount to around six million euros. The aim of this renovation is to create modern learning conditions by next year.
