Serious accident in Stolpen-Lauterbach: Pedestrian hit by car!

A serious accident is causing a stir in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. On Thursday evening, a 61-year-old pedestrian was hit by a VW Crafter on Dorfstrasse in Stolpen-Lauterbach and seriously injured. The injured person was immediately taken to hospital, as Sächsische.de reported. The police have started an investigation and are asking possible witnesses to contact the Dresden Police Department on (0351) 483 22 33.

This report comes at a time when there are some traffic problems on the roads around Dresden and in other parts of Saxony. There were various disruptions on the A4, such as a broken car that broke down in the left lane near the Nossen triangle. A defective truck was also spotted in the construction site area between Wilsdruff and the Dresden-West triangle, as reported by Saxony Police. There are also difficulties on the A9: an accident between Großkugel and Leipzig-West leads to significant traffic jams in both directions.

But there are not only disruptions on the A4 and A9. Here is a brief overview of the most relevant traffic events:

route event Details
A4 Chemnitz towards Dresden Defective car Left lane at triangle Nossen
A4 Dresden towards Görlitz Accident site Cleared between Ohorn and Burkau
B170 Zinnwald towards Dresden Accident Closed between the Waldidylle junction and Waldbärenburg
S130 loop – western Burgneudorf Cleaning work Closed between Burgneudorf and Burghammer junction

These incidents highlight the need to drive carefully on the roads, especially considering that accident rates continue to rise according to the latest statistics. This creates discussions about safety and traffic management in the region. According to Destatis, there are increasing reports of fake cover letters in circulation that contain incorrect data requirements and cause confusion.

It remains to be hoped that the pedestrians and drivers affected can travel safely even in these challenging road conditions. The police and emergency services work closely together to ensure safety on the roads and resolve any incidents quickly.
