Changes to the opening times of the integration centers in Zwickau!
In the coming week there will be several changes in the integration and language mediation departments in Zwickau. These are due to the summer holidays and planned training courses. The new opening hours will come into effect on Monday, June 30, 2025. The Integration Counseling Center (IBS) will then be available at Hauptstraße 56 at the following times:
- Montag: 9 bis 12 Uhr und 13 bis 18 Uhr
- Dienstag: 9 bis 12 Uhr und 13 bis 15 Uhr
- Mittwoch: geschlossen, nur nach Vereinbarung
- Donnerstag: 9 bis 12 Uhr und 13 bis 15 Uhr
- Freitag: geschlossen, nur nach Vereinbarung
These shortened opening hours apply up to and including August 8th, 2025. During the week from July 7th to 11th, 2025, the advice center will remain completely closed. From August 11, 2025, the doors will be open again at the usual times so that anyone seeking advice can raise their concerns.
Information about the language and cultural mediation service
The language and cultural mediation service at the town hall, Hauptmarkt 1, will also be closed from June 30th to July 11th, 2025. In order to be able to process a language request in a timely manner, it must be submitted by Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the latest. The service will be available again from July 14, 2025.
The general opening hours of the language and cultural mediation service are:
- Montag und Donnerstag: 9 bis 15 Uhr
- Dienstag: 9 bis 18 Uhr
- Mittwoch und Freitag: nach Vereinbarung
These services are particularly important for people with a migration background, who often rely on multilingual support to find their way through the jungle of authorities.
A look at World Refugee Day
In addition, June 20th falls on International Refugee Day, which was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly. On this day we remember the refugee children and their families and draw attention to their difficult situation. Over 473 million children live in conflict zones, and many of them have never known home.
The organization Save the Children is active to help refugee children and their families both in Germany and internationally. Historically, they were available to provide food and clothing after the First World War, and today, among other things, they look after orphans and help in crisis areas such as Syria, Bangladesh, Gaza and Ukraine.
These events and changes to opening hours are a signal of understanding and support for the vulnerable group of people who need our help. Be sure to take advantage of the various offers to find out about the best possible support!
