Crunch time for BSV Sachsen Zwickau: departure for new successes!

When it comes to handball, the girls of BSV Sachsen Zwickau are ready for the new season. They are currently in “crunch time” of preparation and are working hard on tactics, athleticism and team spirit. In an intensive training program, coach Norman Rentsch attaches great importance to teamwork, especially after a major upheaval in the team, which is intended to bring both new and experienced players together. An element that was often missing last season and left the team out of step.

A particularly positive newcomer is Rita Lakatos, the former player who has joined the coaching team this season. “Team spirit is crucial and we have to work well together,” emphasizes Rentsch. The first competitive game is just around the corner: On August 24th, the Zwickau women will play against MSV Dresden in the DHB Cup. The first league game in Oldenburg follows just a week later on August 30th.

Intensive preparation for new challenges

The team has also planned a training camp in Oldenburg from August 6th in order to optimally prepare for the challenges ahead. In addition to the competitive games, several test games are also planned. The first will take place next Thursday on Thursday in the Neuplanitz sports hall against SG 09 Kirchhof. Other opponents in preparation include HSG Blomberg-Lippe, HC Leipzig and Thüringer HC.

But it's not just the women's team at BSV Sachsen Zwickau that is facing new challenges. The B youth handball players are also starting the German cup round. This team finished the preliminary round of the Bundesliga, which was played for the first time, in 5th place in their team of six. Coach Daniela Diener highlights the challenges ahead and knows that the team will have to travel hundreds of kilometers on the bus to prove themselves.

It remains exciting to see how the BSV Sachsen Zwickau teams will perform in the new season. Preparations are in full swing and those responsible are optimistic that success can be achieved through team spirit and hard work.
