Östlicher Hauptmarkt, 08056 Zwickau, Deutschland - Summer is there, and with it the audience in Zwickau is enjoying the 19th edition of the popular event "Summer Swing". On Friday evening, June 27, 2025, the starting signal for this musical festival, which many lovers of jazz, blues and swing are already captivating. As Radio Zwickau , the event takes place in front of the monument of the Gewandhaus and will take on the first guests on Friday at 6:30 p.m. with the first performance of the "Jazz Company" from Chemnitz.

The musical flair will be noticeable over two evenings: On Saturday evening, the Big Band "Swing IT" of the Robert Schumann Conservatory will ensure the festive end. Along the stands, visitors also have the opportunity to try delicious wines and tarte flambee. Admission remains free of charge for all guests, which makes the event even more accessible.

For 16 years now, “Summer Swing” has inspired the Zwickau population. As early as 2022, the event had to pause because of the pandemielage, now it is full of strength. The atmosphere is described as early summer, and the region is looking forward to another festival after the long dry spell in recent years. Like Teitsprungland , the last event was already in 2019, and the return after such a long break is expected with enthusiasm.

The event is organized by the organizers, the Robert Schumann Conservatory Zwickau and Kultour Z. They have put together a great program that also includes contributions from the Gewandhaus and the Conservatory. Visitors can look forward to a diverse musical repertoire in which jazz, funk and soul shine in the leading roles.
