Roofing fire in Ellerau: Fire brigade saves residents from the flames!

on Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025, a violent fire broke out in a family home in Ellerau. The Ellerau volunteer fire brigade was alerted around 9:59 p.m. and already found a strong smoke development when they arrive. When they arrive, smoke came out of the roof structure, while flames beat out of a rear cultivation. Immediately a person could be saved from the building and taken to the hospital.

The emergency services searched the house under respiratory protection, but a second person was initially missing. A fire fighting was carried out with several squads from both outside and inside. Among other things, the fire brigade used a turntable ladder to successfully delete the fire in the roof area. At 11:45 p.m., “Feuer out” was reported. It turned out that the missing person was not at home, which was confirmed by the police. No information on the cause of the fire or damage is currently available.
