The role of Wizz Air in the European Market
The airline, which was founded in 2003 and has its headquarters in Budapest, offers direct flights to 200 airports in 50 countries, including Europe and the Middle East. Despite temporary economic setbacks, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, Wizz Air remains one of the most busiest LCCs in the world. In 2021, sales fell to 793 million euros, and in 2022 the airline reported a net loss of 642.5 million euros. Nevertheless, Wizz Air remains an important player in European air traffic, with a share in the market that is increasingly challenged by other LCCs such as Ryanair and Easyjet.
The flight tickets for the connection from Dortmund to Olsztyn-Mazury can now be booked, which is a welcome news for travelers who want to discover the beauty of the Masurian Lake District.
