Young anglers celebrate big catch at the Palatinate Youth Camp in the Earthkaut!
Last weekend, around 50 young anglers experienced an unforgettable adventure in the picturesque landscape area. Niklas and Mats from Speyer were among the participants of the youth tent camp of the Pfalz fishing association, which not only brought them closer to their passion for fishing, but also offered many learning opportunities. This camp turned out to be an important meeting point for the fishing youth of the Palatinate, where young anglers came together to improve their skills and have fun in nature. The event took place in a relaxed atmosphere. The participants and their supervisors provided plenty of yield when fishing, which only increased the enthusiasm of the young anglers. In addition to fishing, the children and adolescents were also able to take part in various activities, such as casting or the popular stick bread. The time design was deliberately self -determined to give the young Anglers freedom for their own experiences.
diverse offers and community experiences
The tent camp traditionally took place to Corpus Christi once a year for over four days, with the location varied annually. The places are chosen by the young people and their supervisors, which strengthens identification with the camp. During the stay, the participants were offered a balanced breakfast and two warm meals every day. The homemade dishes that also included a grilled suckling pig were particularly popular.
A highlight of the weekend was the last lunch together on Sunday, in which honorary gifts were distributed. This tradition promotes cohesion and rewards the effort and the use of the young anglers. According to the information from the Pfalz State Fishing Association, participation in such events for young people under the age of 18 is free. It includes the fishing license as well as the catering and honor gifts.
youth fishing license and legal framework conditions
In order to be able to participate in the youth camp and other fishing activities, a certain level of legal knowledge regarding fishing is required. In Rhineland-Palatinate, children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 16 can apply for a youth fishing license, but must be accompanied. The full fishing license can be requested from the age of 14 after an exam. It is important that children under the age of 10 are not allowed to numb or kill fish, which guarantees animal welfare.
The diversity of the events and the exchange among young people not only strengthens the fishing skills, but also the sense of community. Events such as community fishing that take place twice a year enable the young anglers to get to know new waters and gain experience. Die Rheinpfalz reports of the great enthusiasm of the defects in nature and the valuable Experiences that they gained here.
With these programs, the Pfalz fishing association makes a significant contribution to promoting fishing youth and environmental education. The young people can not only improve their practical skills in fishing, but also develop a feel for responsibility and sustainability in dealing with nature. Further information on the activities can be found on The website of the LFV Pfalz and regarding the law on the youth fishing license under Angelschein.de .
