Neerstedt celebrates the first day of experience: fun, sport and new encounters!

On Sunday, May 26, 2025, the first “Neerstedter adventure day” took place in Neerstedt, which was characterized by numerous activities and a varied program. Fortunately, despite initial concern about impending rain, the weather stayed dry and many visitors flocked to the event area on the street "Am Sportplatz".

The district sports association chairman Horst Bokelmann opened the event with a greeting. During the adventure day, a variety of activities were offered, including guided tours by the theater "Neerstedter Bühne" and a movement course for children, organized by the TV Neerstedt and the Kreissportjugend. The children of the “Villa Kunterbunt” daycare center impressed with dance performances. Another highlight was the fire brigade, which provided exciting challenges for visitors.

A central element of the event day was the ceremonial inauguration of a new multifunctional place that lies between the "Villa Kunterbunt" and the large sports hall. In her speech, Mayor Antje Oltmanns emphasized the importance of this place for movement and community. This multifunctional place offers space for various sports such as tennis, basketball, handball and fistball. It became necessary because the former tennis courts for the new construction of the "Villa Kunterbunt" had to give way.

The planning for the multifunctional place took over the Wildeshaus architecture firm Rolwes-Hauth-Jacobi, the implementation was in the hands of the company "Richter Garten- und Landschaftsbau". Sporty hands -on activities in the large sports hall were offered for the children, while the Neerstedter stage presented half -hour tours through the theater.

The supporting program offered a wide range of entertainment. The dance groups of TV Dötlingen, the "Flamingos" and the "New Generation", performed with impressive choreographies. The artist couple Lisa Rinne and Andreas Bartl from the "Circus Unartiq" also performed trapezoidal arts. In addition, the artist Marc Westermann, who painted on excessive screens during the breaks.

The musical performances of the "Canaval Twins" as well as juggling and live painting rounded off the colorful offer. The entire event was accompanied by catering stations, which ranged from breakfast to lunch to afternoon coffee and cake. Offers such as face painting and treasure searches were ready for the little visitors.

The mayor concluded that the “Neerstedter adventure day” will take place again in the coming year, which will increase the anticipation for the next edition of the event.
