In a dramatic use in Stoschstrasse, the ordnance clearing service has successfully defused a flying bomb. At 1:10 p.m. the crucial campaign started after the police ensured that the blocking area was free of people. Before that, about 12,000 people had to leave their apartments - a massive move that brought immense tensions.

The defusing was without incidents and only took around 35 minutes. Now that the police have lifted the road closures, the residents can finally return to their homes. A nerve -wracking day in Kiel comes to an end - and the security of the citizens has a top priority!
