Heavy rain in NRW: Keller under water and rail chaos in RLP!

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the heavy rain occurred on Saturday, May 31, 2025, which led to significant floods in several regions. According to the reports of dewezet.de were fully flooded. The Rhein-Erft-Kreis and the district of Euskirchen were particularly affected, where the fire brigade and emergency services carried out numerous missions.

In the city of Erftstadt, the emergency services reported that around 100 buildings were affected, while only comparatively few missions were required in the district of Euskirchen, but there were also some streets and basements under water.
