Carnival fever in Altenburger Land: dates and highlights 2025!

In Altenburg and the surrounding area, the fifth season will soon usher in the freedom of fools! Carnival 2026 promises a lot of fun and tradition with a colorful program and numerous events. One of the highlights is the carnival parade of the Trebenia Carnival Club (FCT), which starts on November 15, 2025 at 3:11 p.m. at Rittergut Treben. At the subsequent celebrations in the Treben Mälzerei, little fools can expect a children's carnival on January 24th, 2026 and main events on January 31st and February 7th with admissions and prices that are affordable for young and old.

The Dobitschen carnival club (FCD) also organizes an exciting program. The celebrations at the Landgasthof Dobitschen begin on November 15, 2025 with a children's carnival and a party from 9 p.m. Details about the further evening events are still pending. The 1st and 2nd main events are also planned for the end of January and beginning of February.

The 1st Starkenberg Carnival Society (SFG) has already committed itself to the motto: “Deep in the Starkenberg Carnival Forest, no beer or fairy tales get old.” Advance sales for the evening events begin on January 16th and 23rd, 2026 and here too the children can look forward to a special carnival.

The Frohnsdorf carnival club Grün-Weiß 1982 (FKK) invites all sports enthusiasts to a “sports festival”. The seniors can come to their carnival on February 7, 2026 and there is also a lot on offer for children, while the Nöbdenitzer carnival club creates a special carnival dance.
