Bleichlochtalsperre, Deutschland - The last school bells in Altenburger Land ring in a few days, and the anticipation of the summer vacation grows. This year there are numerous exciting summer camps that promise action and new friendships for children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 14. From climbing adventures in the Thuringian Forest to numerous sports camp offers, there is a suitable camp for every taste. The LVZ reports on the different camps that will take place in summer 2025.

The climbing camp in the Thuringian Forest, organized by the district sports association Altenburger Land, is open from July 29 to August 5. It is aimed at beginners and advanced and costs 299 euros for a week, including overnight stays, full board and a climbing certificate. Finally, there will be an exam for the climbing certificate. Registrations are possible online via the KSB and the State Sports Association of Thuringia.

Another highlight is the adventure Action Camp III, which takes place from July 27th to August 3. August at the Bleichlochtalsperre. Here children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 14 can try out various sports, including water and ball sports as well as climbing and mountain biking. Participation costs 309 euros, and interested parents can contact the sports youth by email to clarify the registration.

For the water rats among the holiday children, sailing camps on Hainbergsee and Haselbacher See are also offered on July 12th. While the children's sailing camp is already fully booked, there are still a few places for the youth sail camp, which is also being cared for. The costs here are 220 euros and that the participants are not afraid of water and that a certain swimming level must have reached.

Fitness and fun in the Waldhof Finsterbergen

In the Waldhof Finsterbergen, summer fitness camps are on the program that focus on healthy lifestyle, exercise and fun. The Waldhof Finsterbergen offers two fitness camps: The first takes place from July 6 to 13, 2025, while the second from July 27th to August takes place. In both camps, the participants receive full catering and an exciting program for 290 euros - ideal for kids from 8 to 16 years.
