Altenburger Land, Deutschland - In einer bemerkenswerten Initiative hat der Fachdienst Jugendarbeit und Kindertagesbetreuung gemeinsam mit der Polizeiinspektion Altenburger Land carried out comprehensive test purchases to protect young people. This measure is intended to ensure that underage young people have no access to alcohol, tobacco products and energy drinks. A total of 50 sales outlets were checked, with specially trained young people aged 14 to 17 under supervision.

In this context, it is important to note that the Youth protection law regulates that the delivery of tobacco products and Alcoholic beverages to minors is strictly forbidden. In particular, the submission of alcohol to under 16 year olds and spirits to under 18 year olds is prohibited. Even e-cigarettes and other tobacco products must not be sold to young people, which should clearly address the health risks for this age group.
