Erfurt: Audi theft with the latest technology-this is how you protect your car!

A high-quality Audi worth around 25,000 euros was stolen on Ernst-Haeckel-Straße in Erfurt in Ernst-Haeckel-Straße in Erfurt. Unknown perpetrators used a clever Keyless GO system to escape the vehicle. They apparently use a technical device that intercepts the radio signals of the vehicle key and thus opened and started the car without the original key.

The police are now investigating and warning drivers to keep their vehicle keys safely. The use of signal blocking covers or special storage boxes is particularly recommended to prevent the radio signals from being intercepted. So far there is no evidence of the fleeing direction of the perpetrators.
