What an event! The 33rd Meininger 24-hour swimming took place from Saturday at 2 p.m. to Sunday at 2 p.m., and the weather could not be better. 735 swimmers from near and far gathered to measure their strength in the cool water and do good for sport. As reported Rhönkanal, an impressive total route of 3,360,200 meters was placed in third place in the Eternal Bestlist.
An honorable mention deserves the best swimmer Katharina Emmert, the incredible 50,050 meter swam, while her male counterpart Romano Mombelli dominated the event with a fabulous 63,500 meters. As part of the team ranking, the "one for everyone" (warm shower) were able to prevail, followed by "All for one" (warm shower) in second place and the Zischer sharks in third place.

The spectrum of the participants was mixed. The oldest participant, Renate Pfützner, celebrated her 87th birthday and showed that swimming is fun at all ages.
