No second mailbox for wallrabs: citizens are angry!

In Hildburghausen there is only one mailbox in the Wallrabs district. This is located on Römhilder Straße, more precisely on Wallrabser Kreuz. The situation is a topic of conversation among residents, especially since the question of a second mailbox came up during a recent meeting with Mayor Patrick Hammerschmidt. It's just a shame that the dream of an additional option for posting letters will not come true.

A resident raised the issue and made it clear that he found the existing mailbox to be inconveniently located. Many neighbors have this opinion because in the past the situation was awkward for many. A previous mailbox on Am Gries Street was dismantled years ago and to this day nothing has changed in how letters are received in Wallrabs.

No expansion of the mailbox infrastructure

After extensive discussion, it was decided that Wallrabs would not receive a second mailbox. Although this does not correspond to the wishes of all residents, the postal administration does not seem to see any need for action here. However, at a time when digital communication has already replaced many letters, there is less space for paper form and so citizens have to make do with a single location.

The discussion about infrastructure shows how important it is for local people to be well connected. Perhaps those responsible will listen better to the needs of residents in the future - because good connections to the post office are not just a question of convenience, but also of service.
All residents of Wallrabs remain hopeful that something will change in the mailbox situation in the near future.
