Wacker Nordhausen elects new board - club able to act again!
On June 17th, the sporting future was redesigned at FSV Wacker 90 Nordhausen. The members of the association elected a new board after the last general meeting on April 24th had no significant results. Torsten Klaus, who was impressively elected chairman with 59 yes votes, promised to promote discussions with the members in order to actively shape the future of the association. The election of the new board took place without any dissenting votes and was met with great approval.
The new board is made up of competent people who bring a breath of fresh air to the club's work. In addition to Klaus as president, the following members took on responsibility:
- Stev Gösl (Vizepräsident)
- Michael Liedke (Schatzmeister)
- Anne-Kathrin Wagner (Beisitzer)
- Julia Adam (Beisitzer)
- Steve Jochmann (Beisitzer)
- Marcus Vopel (Beisitzer)
- Mihai Mociran (Beisitzer)
- Jens Großmann (Beisitzer)
This team will initially serve a one-year term before another election. With this line-up, the club has become operational again and can begin its sporting plans for the coming season in the Thuringia League and District Oberliga.
Sporting challenges and successes
However, the sporting situation has been anything but rosy recently. The association league team had a weak second half of the season with only eight points - two wins, two draws and eleven defeats made those responsible sit up and take notice. However, the second team, under the leadership of Steve Jochmann, provided positive news: they celebrated 25 wins and only one defeat, which meant promotion to the regional league.
The digital connection to club life is now also being improved. Wacker 90 has launched a new WhatsApp channel to provide members and fans with current information. Via the link tinyurl.com/WhatsAppFSV Those interested can activate a notification function and thus always stay up to date. It's a move that is not only practical, but also intended to bring the community closer together.
