Saale-Orla-Kreis: Schools are permanently flag!
In the juicy Saale-Orla district, something is happening: The district was the first to take the decision in Thuringia, and in front of around 40 public schools permanently flags. This emerges from a decision that has recently been made. The local district flag, the Thuringian flag, the German flag and the European flag are planned. A real eye -catcher that will soon adorn the schoolyards!
But when is the colorful spectacle finally on the masts? Unfortunately, the students and teachers still have to be patient: implementation before the summer vacation is not to be expected. In the coming weeks, exams of the existing flag masts will be on the plan, because after all you want to make sure that everything is flawless. Wherever only one flag can be set, the Germany flag will initially be highest, while the other colors gradually follow.
positive response and outlook
The response to this advance to flag the schools is generally positive. District Administrator Christian Herrgott reports on an increasing discussion in other Thuringian counties about a similar approach. It is particularly exciting in Sömmerda, where the district council has already decided to permanently pretend the flags of Germany, Europe and the district in front of public buildings. Here, too, an exam for schools is in progress.
Without the other counties, the opening pleasure should not run. The wheels of the flexion in Gotha and Nordhausen get only slowly rolling. For the time being, no permanent flexion is being implemented on employer buildings. The district administrator of Nordhausen, Matthias Jendricke (SPD), supports the idea of flag, but would like to wait for a decision of the state parliament.
Another look over the box
somewhere else, for example in the Jerichower Land in Saxony-Anhalt, has already been responded to an increase in an flag, which triggered interesting discussions. Maybe the example from Thuringia will also be imitated there? After all, there is already progress in Weimar and Greiz: in Greiz you have the colors of the EU, Germany, Thuringia and the district, while in Weimar flags are already hanging on the town hall and on other city buildings.
A special regulation applies to the flagship of public buildings in Thuringia that says that municipalities can decide independently whether they want to flag their company buildings. In contrast, the Supreme Landes' Authorities blow every day the Thuringian State Dienst Flag, the Federal Flag and the European Lag.
flags with importance
An interesting aspect is that the flag should also be discussed in class. This always has an identity -creating effect - the students can deal with the symbols of their homeland and discuss them during class. But that's not all: Did you know that the flag is regularly on certain occasions, including the day of commemoration to the victims of National Socialism or the Day of German Unity? The correct arrangement of the flags is also important: from left to right, the European layer, the federal flag, the state flag and finally the flags of the communities are shown.
Overall, it can be seen that the discussion about the permanent flagship of public buildings and schools in Thuringia continues to pick up speed. It remains exciting to wait and how the situation will develop in the coming months - and whether the trend will also gain a foothold in other regions. The signs are on flag storm!
