On June 23, 2025, a very special founding meeting of the new expert advisory board will take place in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district. The aim of this advisory board is to actively promote the implementation of the UN Disabled Rights Convention. In a public meeting, the municipal action plan to strengthen the participation of people with disabilities is presented, for which those responsible will formulate specific measures and goals for accessibility and inclusion.
