About the Panzergrenadier Battalion 391
The Panzergrenadier Battalion 391 is part of the Panzergrenadierbrigade 37 Free State of Saxony and has a strength of over 800 soldiers. Stationed in the Werra Valley barracks, the battalion is equipped for a wide range of operational scenarios, which ranges from conflict prevention to crisis management to disaster relief. It can be used both as an independent battle association and in the context of larger operating associations. With modern equipment, such as the Puma rifle armor, the battalion is future -oriented.
The coat of arms of the Pzgrenbtl 391, which shows the Thuringian lion and crossed rifles, reflects the long tradition and commitment of the battalion. The story goes back to the line-up on April 1, 1991, with significant turning points, such as the reorganization to a crisis reaction battalion from 1995 and the intensive training of the Georgian soldiers as part of the NATO mission Resolute Support from 2014 to 2019.
reservists and military training
Another look at military training shows how important the integration of reservists into the Bundeswehr is. Events such as the "Severloh 2020" in Lower Saxony, which focus on military skills and physical resilience, show the commitment beyond the regular units. Reservists from different federal states meet here to deepen their knowledge and at the same time measure themselves in competition.
These events not only strengthen military skills, but also promote the community among the participants. With a variety of training stations such as "hand grenade throwing" and "card and compass use", the practical application of the skills learned is promoted. Are you looking for a way to strengthen your own team spirit? Cooperation in the context of such exercises shows how much fun and learning success can be in military training.
The coming days will be packed with challenges and a pinch of adventure! The “Rennsteig crossing” not only promises an exercise of physical fitness, but also an experience that will strengthen the cohesion within the Panzergrenadier Battalion 391.
