Climate change meets art: Suites4nature” film evening in the Centralkino Rottweil

On July 7th at 7 p.m., the Central Cinema in Rottweil will be the venue for a special film screening. Freckles shows as part of the Rottweil Music Festival NRWZ the film “Suites4nature – Suites for a Wounded World” by the talented cellist and filmmaker Tanja Tetzlaff. The event will be accompanied by the musician and filmmaker Felicitas Bott, who will be available as a discussion partner to introduce the audience to the subject of the film.

“Suites4nature” is an impressive project that not only attracts musical attention, but also sends a clear message regarding the challenges of climate change. The film shows Tanja Tetzlaff, who interprets the Cello Suites No. 4-6 by Johann Sebastian Bach, supplemented by works by the composer Thorsten Encke that were created especially for her. A stirring contrast is created between the music and the dramatic images of our wounded nature. The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the beauty of nature and how to protect it Tanja Tetzlaff self-formulated.

Climate change and art

A key aspect of the film is the visualization of the effects of climate change, which are already clearly evident in Europe: melting glaciers, parched areas and flooded towns are just some of the challenges that have become reality. With this film project, Tania Tetzlaff plans to make visible places in Europe where climate change is leaving its mark in a particularly drastic way, in order to symbolically ask nature for forgiveness. This approach is supported by art as an important means of raising awareness Greenkama. Art can take up complex topics and make them emotionally tangible, which is becoming increasingly relevant in the climate discussion.

During the screening there will also be an aperitif in the foyer of the Central Cinema. A nice setting to deepen your impressions and start a conversation after the film. The ticket price of 13 euros includes a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic alternative and can be purchased directly at the Centralkino or online at www.central-kino-rottweil.de. Against this background, the question arises: How can art and music work together to convey the urgency of climate protection?

This demonstrates the increasing recognition for creative approaches to promoting climate awareness.
