The opening hours vary depending on the season: In summer the museum is open from Wednesday to Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., while in winter it is only open Monday and Wednesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., although it remains closed on Tuesday. Another jewel of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar is the Museum Neues Weimar, which is located at Jorge-Semprún-Platz 5. Visitors can enjoy the newly designed opening hours here from November 2, 2025. These are Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Another highlight is the exhibition “Faust – an exhibition”, which will be on view in the Schillermuseum at Schillerstrasse 12 until November 1, 2027. This offers a great opportunity for those interested in culture to delve deeply into the topic. The opening hours of this exhibition are Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in summer and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in winter.
Child-friendly admission prices and accessibility
Particular attention should also be paid to accessibility: the museums of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar open their doors free of charge to children and young people under the age of 16. Entry is quite cheap for adults at 4 euros, reduced to 3 euros, while children aged four and over only pay 1.50 euros.
